A simple build yet unbelievably fun to fish rod, the Centaur Constellation Light Jigging Rods are an unbelievable value for an entry point into Japanese-style jigging. Light jigging rods are designed for lighter jigs, lighter braided lines, and for more active fish with a lift and pump technique, whether it be with a slow or fast retrieve. These rods load more evenly down the length of the rod, in a much slower way compared to other jigging rods.
The Constellation Light Jigging Rods are perfectly suited for targeting black seabass, tautog, bonito, scup, stripers, smaller tuna, and a wide variety of other species outside the Northeast. They are extremely thin and lightweight blanks and builds, yet they hold loads of power to get fish out of wrecks and other structure on the bottom.
Each Constellation Light Jigging Rod is color-coded to identify its model and power as seen in the chart below. All baitcasting or conventional rods feature an acid wrap design, perfect for overall rod strength and mitigating tip tangles with braid.
If you simply want to have fun on the water, the Constellation Light Jigging Rods are the perfect opportunity to do so. While these rods may feel like something that would be used on the freshwater scene in hand, just wait until you see the power.
